Driver License in State of New Hampshire

You need to follow some steps to acquire Driver License in State of New Hampshire:

Applying for New Driver License in State of New Hampshire: You need to be at least 16 years old to acquire Driver License from New Hampshire Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV). Once you turn 15 years and six months old, then you can practice driving with a licensed driver of age 25 years or older.

If you are between 16-18 years of age, then you need to complete an approved driver education course. You need to provide proper identity proofs, driver education course certification and parent guardian authorization certificate. You need to fill the Application for Driver’s License. You must clear vision, written and driving tests. You are mailed your license by mail after 45 days on passing the tests. You need to obey some rules until you reach 18 years of your age. The operator license costs you $50. If you want motorcycle endorsement, it costs an additional $30.

Renewing Driver License in State of New Hampshire: You need to renew your license every four years. You will receive a mail from DMV two months before your license expiration as a as a reminder for renewal of your Driver License. You can visit any of the DMV offices or substations to get your license renewed. You have to clear vision test. If you hold a Visa Card or Employment Authorization Document, then you need to visit DMV headquarters for renewing the Driver License. You need to pay fee along with the renewal application. Renewal fee can range from $50 to $58. If you are out state while renewal period of your Driver License, then you can mail the renewal application and vision re-examination form along with the proper fee to the DMV Headquarters.

Replacing a Lost Driver License in State of New Hampshire: If you misplace your Driver License, then you need to visit DMV substation and fill the Application for Driver’s License along with $10 Fee. You also need to provide the proofs of identification and residency. If you lose your Driver License while out of state, then mail the completed Application for Driver’s License along with $10 Fee to DMV Headquarters. You also need to include the proofs of identification and residency.

Changing Name on Driver License in State of New Hampshire: You need to notify DMV within 10 days about the name change. You should visit DMV substation in person to carry out the formalities. You need to complete the Application for Driver’s License and provide legal proof of name change. You also need to take photo. No fee is charged for this procedure.

Changing Address on Driver License in State of New Hampshire: You need to notify DMV within 10 days about your change of address. You can visit DMV substation in person to carry out the formalities. You can even complete the Record Change Request and mail it to DMV along with the legal proof of address change. No fee is charged for this procedure.
