You need to follow some steps to acquire Driving License in State of Oklahoma:

Applying for New Driving License in State of Oklahoma: Oklahoma Department of Public Safety (DPS) issues licenses of various classes. Class A, B and C are issued to drivers of commercial vehicles. Class D is a regular driver’s license. You can apply for learner’s permit once you turn 15 ½ years old. The further process for permit issuing depends on the status of your driver education course. You can apply for intermediate license once you hold learner’s permit for minimum six months. It is compulsory for teens to have their parent accompany them to sign an Affidavit provided by the Department of Safety. Teens also need to provide a certificate from school. Any candidate applying for permits or license needs to provide an appropriate identification proofs and other necessary documents. You must clear the required tests such as vision, written and driving tests. $4 is a application fee and $21.50 is the license fee. Once you reach the age of 62, Oklahoma reduces the rate of your license.

If you are new to Oklahoma and possess the license from some other state, then you need to just pass an eye test and pay the $10 transfer fee.

Renewing Driving License in State of Oklahoma: You will have to renew your driving license every four years. You need to appear in person at local Tag Agency or the Department of Public Safety. Fee charged is $21.50. If you are out of state during the expiration of your license, then you can renew your Class D driving license by mail. You need to include your full name, permanent and temporary address, date of birth and license number, two identification proofs and fee $21.50.

Replacing a Lost Driving License in State of Oklahoma: If you misplace your driving license, then you need to visit in person at your local Tag Agent or the Department of Public Safety to get the duplicate driving license. If you lose your license while you are out of station, then you can request for duplicate license valid without photo at DPS. Replacement fee is $10.

Changing Name on Driving License in State of Oklahoma: You need to notify the DPS about your name change. You need to visit driver’s license office in person to get your name changed on the driving license. You need to provide legal proof of name change and $10 fee.

Changing Address on Driving License in State of Oklahoma: You need to notify the DPS in writing about your address change within 10 days. You need to visit local tag agent or DPS in person to get your address changed on the driving license. If you need replacement with new address, then you need to apply for replacement license along with the $10 fee.
