You need to follow some steps to acquire Driving License in State of Rhode Island:

Applying for New Driving License in State of Rhode Island: Rhode Island Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) issues different types of licenses like Instructional permit, Limited provisional license and Full operator’s license. First time drivers in Rhode Island should apply for instructional permit regardless of age. You should be minimum 16 years old to be eligible for instruction permit.
